Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Quality Control Lab Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards through exact testing, inspection, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance protocols. This is an overnight position working 8:00pm to 8:00am, with weekend availability required. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to product excellence and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monitor and inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Perform routine quality checks on paper bags, including measurements, print quality, structural integrity, and packaging accuracy.
- Print and verify all product identification labels for corrugated boxes, ensuring accuracy and consistency with production and shipping requirements.
- Document and report quality issues, deviations, or defects; work with Production and Maintenance to resolve problems promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
- Develop and update inspection procedures, quality checklists,



and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Ensure that all measuring and testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Conduct audits of production processes and raw materials to identify improvement opportunities and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements and customer audits, including maintaining relevant documentation.
- Follow company GMP and food safety procedures and moves towards full compliance of product safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor employees and ensure they are following company’s GMP and food safety policies.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of quality control experience in a packaging manufacturing environment; experience with paper products or packaging is an asset.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques, measurement tools, and defect analysis.
- Detail-oriented with strong observational and documentation skills.
- Comfortable using label printing software and printing equipment; attention to detail is critical for label accuracy.
