Quality Control Inspector

Summary The Quality Inspector should have knowledge of a production environment, specializing in the reading of drawings and the use of standard measuring tools. The QC Inspector should possess solid communications skills with an ability to effectively interact with different departments, organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail. Ability to have numerous distractions within your workday.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect parts during the machining process to comply with our quality control.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations as required.
- Perform “First Off” inspection, in-process and final inspection.
- Accept and reject finished items.
- Ensure what is ordered is what was received.
- Ensure that NCR Documentation is correct and complete.
- Use measuring tools as per proper procedures and verify calibration of tools.
- Check the quality of the product, including verification of proper stamping of parts and traceability

- Coordinate measuring equipment calibration process.




- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Complete regular maintenance schedule as to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Observe all safety policies and procedures.
- Basic computer skills required.

Requirements:

- High school completion, post secondary an asset.

* 6 months - 1 year experience in a Quality Control Environment, with manufacturing experience considered an asset.
- Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks.

* Physically fit with the ability to lift +35lbs and stand stationary for extended periods of time.
- Ability to understand technical drawings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
