18-Month Term Position with Potential for a Permanent Position

Are you an experienced quality skilled who enjoys being involved in daily operations and making a meaningful impact?

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced food-processing environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will work closely with employees and department leaders to support high standards, strengthen quality programs, and maintain an audit-ready facility.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and maintain food safety and quality programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Monitor product quality, processing, packaging, labelling, and traceability.
- Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and compliance records.
- Coordinate internal audits and support external audits.
- Investigate quality concerns and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Coach, train, and support quality team members.
- Partner with production and other departments to improve processes and promote a strong food safety culture.

What You Bring

- Experience in food production, quality assurance, food safety, or a related field.




- Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety programs, sanitation, audits, corrective actions, and recordkeeping.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to provide direction while building positive working relationships.
- Relevant education, training, or professional credentials are considered assets.
- Experience in seafood processing or another regulated food-production environment is an asset.

Position Details

- Term: 18 months, with the potential to become permanent
- Reports to: Plant Manager
- Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour, with the final wage based on relevant experience, education, training, and professional credentials
