Job Overview This is a part-time position, reporting to the Executive Chef. The Receiver provides receiving, inventory, and operational support to the Culinary and Food & Beverage Departments,
helping to ensure the efficient flow of products and supplies throughout the Club. The role is responsible for supporting accurate receiving practices, inventory organization, internal distribution, invoice documentation, and the day-to-day operational needs of the departments.
Hourly wage: $19.00 – $21.00, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities The following outlines the primary responsibilities of this role, including but not limited to:
- Receive and inspect incoming food, beverage, operating supplies, and other goods delivered to the Club.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and supporting documentation, identifying shortages, damaged products, substitutions, or other discrepancies.
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, expiry dates, packaging condition, and temperature where applicable.
- Sort, organize, and distribute received products to the appropriate Culinary, Food & Beverage, Front of House, storage, refrigerated, and freezer areas.
- Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO practices and assist with inventory counts, stock organization, and inventory control.
- Verify invoices and receiving documentation and assist with processing and maintaining records through Beanworks.
- Communicate delivery discrepancies, shortages, substitutions, quality concerns, and other receiving issues to the appropriate manager and assist with returns or credits as required.
- Safely unload, unpack, move, and distribute deliveries using appropriate material-handling equipment.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving,
loading, and storage areas.
- Provide general receiving, logistical, administrative, and operational support to the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, logistics, stock handling, hospitality, or a related environment is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory and administrative systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to safely lift and move products and supplies up to 50 lbs and perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Flexible availability based on operational requirements, including weekends and holidays as required.
