Role Description The Registered Cardiology Technologist is a part time, on-site role located in Toronto, ON. This role involves performing a range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, such as ECGs, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and related procedures according to established protocols. The technologist will prepare patients for tests, explain procedures in a explicit and reassuring manner, and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.

Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment, verifying test quality, and collaborating with cardiologists and clinic staff to support timely interpretation and reporting. The role also includes contributing to patient flow, maintaining a safe and clean clinical environment, and adhering to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications





- Registration in good standing as a Cardiology Technologist with the appropriate provincial regulatory body (e.g., CSCT or equivalent), and completion of an accredited Cardiology Technology program.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing ECGs, Holter monitoring, stress tests, and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, with strong attention to detail and test quality.
- Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, common cardiac conditions, and indications for diagnostic testing, with the ability to recognize urgent findings and escalate appropriately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, cardiologists, and interdisciplinary team members in a respectful, inclusive, and trauma-informed manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including accurate documentation, adherence to clinic protocols, and efficient management of multiple tasks in a busy ambulatory environment.
- Commitment to infection prevention and control, patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality, including familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Comfort with basic computer systems and electronic medical records; ability to learn new software related to cardiac diagnostics and clinic operations.
- Previous experience in a cardiology or diagnostic clinic setting is an asset; familiarity with hospital-based cardiac services and integrated care pathways is beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to feedback, and ability to adapt to evolving clinical practices and technologies.
