BelMind Therapeia is not just another therapy clinic. We are building a counselling and psychotherapy practice that is human, compassionate, intentional, and grounded in evidence based, trauma informed care.

We are expanding our Thunder Bay clinical team and looking for Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers who bring strong clinical judgment, genuine care for clients, and a thoughtful approach to their work.

This is an independent contractor opportunity with flexibility to build a schedule and caseload that fits your professional goals. It can work well for clinicians building private practice alongside another role, experienced therapists looking to expand their practice, or clinicians interested in substantial or full time availability with BelMind Therapeia.

You will have the independence of private practice while benefiting from the professional space, intake support, referrals, systems, and clinical community BelMind provides.

Responsibilities

- Provide counselling and psychotherapy within your areas of competence and professional scope
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain timely and appropriate clinical documentation using Jane practice management software
- Manage your own clinical schedule
- Provide in person therapy at our Thunder Bay clinic
- Participate in optional peer consultation and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

- Registered Psychotherapist, RP, in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, or Registered Social Worker, RSW or MSW, in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Professional liability insurance in good standing
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to practise independently




- Genuine empathy and a professional, thoughtful approach to client care
- Commitment to ethical, evidence based, trauma informed, and client centred practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in any of the following areas is particularly valued:
- Trauma and PTSD
- EMDR
- EMDR 2.0
- Couples and relationship therapy
- Children and adolescents
- Anxiety and depression
- Grief and loss
- ADHD
- OCD
- Addiction and substance use concerns
- Family work

Compensation Compensation ranges from $90 to $115 per session hour.

Individual rates are determined based on years of clinical experience, advanced training and certifications, areas of therapeutic expertise, populations served, and level of commitment to the practice.

Clinicians with specialized expertise in trauma and EMDR, couples therapy, children and adolescents, or other areas that broaden the services available through BelMind may be considered for higher compensation within the range.
