Position Summary:
Under the Supervision of the Manager of Allied Health and Clinical Services, and as a member of the Respiratory Therapy Team, the Respiratory Therapists provide care as established by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario and the standards of respiratory care of this hospital. Respiratory Therapists participates in service and hospital-wide activities and programs that model and promote a secure and healthy patient-centered environment and that contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
Respiratory Therapists at Brockville General Hospital also have the opportunity to join the Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT) working collaboratively with Registered Nurses.
Respiratory
Therapists are assigned to both in-patient and out-patient duties, with involvement spanning all programs within the organization from Emergency Room coverage to Critical Care, and throughout the acute and post-acute patient journey.
The RTs work closely with other allied health members and the full multidisciplinary team.

Hospital is a medium sized Community Hospital, with a Level 3 ICU, servicing a variety of patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Education and Experience:
- Successful completion of recognized post-secondary Respiratory Therapy program
- Member in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of department, organization and professional standards and relevant legislation; Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and Respiratory Therapy Act (RTA)
