This key position is responsible for supervising our day-to-day in-store retail operations including customer service, sales, pricing, inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, personnel management and employee engagement activities. Reporting to the store manager, the Retail Sales Manager works closely with the Management Team to help drive sales, maintain inventory, contain costs, develop marketing plans, strengthen employee morale and ensure safe and reliable operations. This individual also works with the store staff to ensure an excellent shopping experience for each and every customer by providing rapid, friendly and accessible service as well as sound recommendations and assistance to those who need support for their home renovation or maintenance projects.

This person will make sure customers are well taken care of, the store and shelves are clean and tidy, merchandise is effectively displayed, and our employees enjoy a safe and healthy work environment.





Qualifications

- A minimum of 3-5 years of sales and service experience is required.
- Strong sales and customer service skills are essential to this position.
- A degree or diploma in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of the building supply and construction industry is considered an asset.
- Supervisory experience in a retail environment and experience leading teams.
- Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
