((For Roll Maker))
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Roll Maker (Rollman) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of sushi rolls with precision, speed, and high standards of food quality.
[Key Responsibilities]
- Roll Preparation: Prepare various types of sushi rolls (Maki, Uramaki, Special Rolls) according to restaurant recipes.
- Ingredient Prep: Ensure all ingredients (fish, vegetables, sauces) are fresh and properly prepped for service.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control.
- Station Maintenance: Keep the sushi bar and work area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
[Qualifications]
- Experience: Previous experience as a Sushi Roll Maker or in an entry-level sushi prep role is preferred.
- Knife Skills: Basic to intermediate knife skills for prepping ingredients.
- Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: A positive attitude and strong commitment to food hygiene and safety.
((For Line Cook and Oshi)) We are looking for a detail-oriented Line Cook to manage our Tempura and Oshi Sushi stations.
You will play a key role in delivering our signature crispy tempura and perfectly pressed sushi to our guests.
[Key Responsibilities]
- Tempura Station: Prepare and fry a variety of tempura (seafood, vegetables) to ensure a light, crispy texture and consistent quality.
- Oshi Sushi Preparation: Carefully assemble and press Oshi Sushi (pressed sushi), including precise topping placement and searing (aburi) is required.
- Preparation (Prep): Efficiently prepare batter, sauces, and ingredients for both stations before and during service.
- Quality & Presentation: Maintain high standards for plating and food temperature.
- Cleanliness: Keep the deep-frying and prep areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
[Qualifications]
- Experience: Previous experience in a Japanese restaurant or commercial kitchen is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of proper frying temperatures and delicate handling of sushi rice/toppings.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
