Rubber Hand Cutter

As a Rubber Hand Cutter, you will be responsible for accurately cutting and fabricating sheet rubber parts to meet work order and drawing specifications. This hands-on role involves working with various types of sheet rubber and using a range of hand and power tools to produce high-quality parts and components.

The Rubber Hand Cutter is also responsible for accurately recording time and material usage, completing quality and production documentation, maintaining equipment, and following all safety requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

This position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and is based at our flagship facility in Langley, B.C.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Cut sheet rubber accurately according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Fabricate parts and components efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including:
- Drill press
- Jigsaw
- Grinders
- Band saw
- Utility knife
- Measuring and layout tools
- Operate forklifts and pickers to retrieve, move, and stock materials as required.
- Accurately record production time, material usage, and other required information.
- Complete all required quality control, production, and factory documentation.
- Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other manufacturing departments to meet production and company objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with rubber, manufacturing, fabrication,



or similar materials is an asset.
- Comfortable and competent using basic hand and power tools, including drill presses, jigsaws, grinders, band saws, and utility knives.
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Forklift and picker experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn recent skills, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
