Role Description The Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) is a full-time, in office role based at Ospika Animal Hospital in Prince George, BC. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with examinations, medical procedures, and anesthesia monitoring, as well as performing laboratory tests, radiography, and other diagnostic tasks. The RVT will provide patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and nursing support, and will help maintain accurate medical records.

The role also involves client communication and education, supporting reception and discharge as needed, and contributing to a clean, safe,



and organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

- Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) designation or eligibility for registration in British Columbia.
- Demonstrated skills in patient care, including safe handling of companion animals, administering treatments, and monitoring recovery.
- Competence in clinical procedures such as laboratory sample collection and processing, radiography, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and a multidisciplinary veterinary team.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records, follow hospital protocols, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental care for clients and patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfort with technology, including practice management software and basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in a small animal or companion animal practice is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
