We are seeking energetic and reliable Salt Truck Drivers to join our dynamic team! Duties

- Operate salt trucks equipped with spreaders to distribute salt or other de-icing materials on roadways during winter weather events
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of salt trucks, ensuring all equipment functions properly and safely before each shift
- Coordinate with road maintenance teams to prioritize routes and respond promptly to changing weather conditions
- Maintain accurate logs of materials spread, routes covered, and operational issues encountered throughout shifts
- Perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on heavy equipment as needed, including automotive repairs related to salt truck operation




- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading freight or supplies related to road maintenance when required

Requirements

- Available 24/7 on call throughout the duration of the season.(November -April)
- Valid driver’s license (AZ/DZ/G) with a clean driving record, appropriate for operating heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as salt trucks, wheel loaders
- Knowledge of salt truck handling procedures and safety standards in transportation environments
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting operational status
- Nice-to-have skills include forklift certification, experience with freight logistics, and familiarity with heavy equipment operation regulations
