LONG-TERM FORT SASKATCHEWAN PROJECT

Barrier Group is looking for experienced, dependable individuals to join our team for a long-term 1+ year facility project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

This is a local position – home every night and every weekend. No camp. No rotation.

Anticipated Start: October 2026

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Project Duration: 1+ Year

Schedule: Monday–Friday

No LOA – Drive-to-Site Position

Rate dependant on experience

WHAT WE OFFER

POSITIONS AVAILABLE SANDBLASTERS & INDUSTRIAL COATERS – HAND APPLICATION

- Industrial/facility blasting experience required
- Hands-on experience applying weld coatings
- Solid abrasive blasting and industrial painting background
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to keep pace on a long-term project Industrial/facility coating experience required
- Experience with hand-applied coating systems required

FOREMEN

- Proven experience running crews on large industrial sites
- Strong track record keeping up with QC paperwork and daily documentation
- Comfortable managing schedule, safety, and quality on a fast-moving job site
- Pickup truck provided
- Previous industrial/facility blasting and coating experience required
- NACE/AMPP Level 1 certification required at minimum for Foreman positions

WORK SCHEDULE Monday–Thursday: 10-hour days

Friday: 8-hour day

48 hours per week

Overtime is paid after 8 hours per day.

SITE & WORK REQUIREMENTS





Applicants must be comfortable working in an industrial facility environment, including:

- Operating manlifts/AWPs
- Working from scaffolding
- Working at heights
- Confined-space work
- Wearing respirators and required PPE
- Performing the physical duties associated with industrial blasting and coating

Reliable transportation is required – this is a drive-to-site position. No LOA is provided.

REQUIRED SAFETY TICKETS

- First Aid
- H2S
- Confined Space Entry
- CSTS 2020

The following tickets would be considered an asset:

- Manlift/AWP
- Fall Protection

Drug & Alcohol testing is required for site access.
