We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our small kitchen team at Crema Café. This position will primarily be responsible for running our sandwich and panini station, including preparing and assembling sandwiches, operating the panini press, and completing all daily prep required for the station.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, comfortable working independently at their station, and able to maintain consistency and quality during busy service periods. You will also work closely with our Chef, assisting with general kitchen prep and managing the inventory and supplies required for your station.

Responsibilities

- Run the sandwich and panini station during service
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and paninis according to menu specifications
- Complete daily prep for the sandwich station, including cutting, portioning, preparing ingredients, sauces, and other components
- Ensure your station is fully stocked, organized, and ready before service
- Monitor inventory for your station and communicate/restock items as needed
- Assist the Chef with additional kitchen prep when required
- Assemble orders accurately, consistently, and efficiently




- Operate panini presses, stoves, ovens, deep fryers, and other standard kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, portioning, and inventory management
- Work closely with the Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Maintain Crema Café’s standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of kitchen or cooking experience preferred
- Experience working a sandwich, panini, or similar kitchen station is an asset
- Good knife skills and knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to manage and maintain your own station
- Solid organization and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail and consistency

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
