The School of Integrated Health at the University of New Brunswick Saint John invites applications for a four-year term position in biomedical sciences and health at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor commencing July 1, 2027. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

UNB's Integrated Health Initiative (IHI) is a comprehensive program that focuses on undergraduate and graduate health education and research, social innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration (https://unb.ca/integrated-health/). As part of the School of Integrated Health, the Bachelor of Health program offers interdisciplinary courses and three majors: Biomedical Sciences and Health, Society and Health, and Management in Health (https://www.unb.ca/saintjohn/health/). A co-operative education program in health and a Master of Public Health will roll-out in September 2027.

The successful candidate will contribute to the School of Integrated Health, specifically the interdisciplinary Bachelor of Health. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline,



such as one of the biomedical sciences, biology, or chemistry. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses relevant to biomedical science, including but not limited to the biochemistry and molecular biology of human health, infectious disease, pharmacology, immunology, or genomics, as well as courses focused on interdisciplinary health, such as research methods and data analytics.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop courses in their area of expertise and contribute to undergraduate and graduate experiential learning projects.

The salary for the position depends on the rank at which the successful candidate is hired.

Salary and fringe advantages are governed by Sections 35 and 36B of the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2025-2029 Collective Agreement.
