Position Overview

Security Guard Group is currently hiring Full-Time and Part time Security Guards for a construction site in Strathroy.

This position involves working 12-hour shifts and requires guards who are dependable, observant, professional, and comfortable working in a construction site environment.

Job Duties

- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the construction site
- Monitor the property for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, safety concerns, and security risks
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Complete detailed patrol, incident, and shift reports
- Monitor and control access to designated areas of the site
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, site personnel, and other security staff
- Use company applications and technology for reporting and communication
- Operate a personal or company vehicle on site as required
- Remain alert and attentive throughout 12-hour shifts
- Follow all site-specific post orders
- Complete safety check in calls as required

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification from a WSIB-approved provider
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Own a vehicle you are able to use for every shift if required
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
- Comfortable working outside




- Comfortable using a personal vehicle or company vehicle while on site
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete clear and detailed security reports
- Comfortable using mobile applications and other technology
- Ability to work independently and remain alert for extended periods

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available

Shift Length: 12 hours

Work Location: In person at a construction site
