Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full time, on-site role based in Greater Vancouver, BC. This role is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable processes.

The Senior

Accountant will handle bank and account reconciliations, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring cash flow, supporting year-end audits, improving financial processes and controls, and providing financial analysis and reporting to management. In this role, you will bridge the gap between plant-level operational data and corporate financial reporting under ASPE.



The role also collaborates with operations and leadership teams to support strategic decision-making and cost management.

Qualifications

- Solid experience with general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and month-end and year-end close processes.
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting standards, tax principles, and compliance requirements relevant to Canadian businesses.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and review, and ability to maintain organized financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance team members.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in an on-site environment.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting enrolment or designation (CPA or equivalent) is an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial services environments is considered an advantage.
