Overview

Global X is experiencing strong growth in the Canadian ETF market and is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Investment Operations to join our expanding Operations team.

The Senior Analyst, Investment Operations role is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of daily trade and investment operations across a broad range of investment products and asset classes. This role supports the full trade lifecycle, with a focus on trade settlement, cash management, reconciliations, exception management, and operational controls.

This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role that requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, portfolio management, custodians, brokers, counterparties, and other service providers to ensure operational activities are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Trade Execution: Executing trades across equities, options, ETFs and FX products.
- Trade Settlement & Daily Operations: Manage and monitor the daily trade settlement lifecycle across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, ETFs, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and other investment products.
- Trade Matching & Exception Management: Coordinate trade matching and settlement activities, investigate unmatched trades and settlement breaks, and work with custodians, brokers, counterparties, and service providers to resolve issues within required timelines.
- Cash Management: Manage daily cash and position reconciliations,



investigate and resolve discrepancies, coordinate cash movements and funding requirements, and support accurate and timely operational reporting.
- Collateral & Margin: Support collateral, margin, and funding processes, where applicable, and ensure related activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Operational Controls: Monitor daily activity, proactively identify and escalate material exceptions, maintain appropriate documentation, and support root-cause analysis and resolution of operational issues.
- Corporate Actions: Monitor and administer corporate actions across fund holdings, including tracking, elections, booking, validation, and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Integrity: Investigate and resolve data discrepancies that may impact trading, settlement, accounting, reconciliation, or reporting.
- Process Improvement, Automation & AI: Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual processes through automation, AI, and other technology solutions.
- Service Provider Management: Liaise with custodians, brokers, counterparties, administrators, and external vendors to resolve operational issues and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Fund & Business Initiatives: Support new fund and product launches, operational changes, system enhancements, and other business initiatives as required.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

- Experience trading equities, derivative instruments including futures, options and FX products.
- 1–3 years of experience in trade operations, investment operations, trade settlement, fund administration, or a related financial services role.
- Working knowledge of the trade lifecycle, including trade matching, settlement, cash movements, and reconciliations.




- Experience investigating and resolving cash, position, trade, or settlement breaks.
- Experience within an asset manager, bank, custodian, prime broker, fund administrator, or similar financial institution is preferred.
- ETF or investment fund operations experience is considered an asset.
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with investment operations technology.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg AIM, AI tools, Python, VBA, Power BI, automation, or data management tools is considered an asset.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy within the organization. The anticipated annual base salary range for the Senior Analyst, Investment Operations is $80,000 to $100,000. The exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and budget.
