Build data pipelines that work in production.

Nuvola Talent is partnering with an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner whose wider work spans cloud, data and production AI. We are looking for a Canada-based Senior Data Engineer who can independently build dependable pipelines, investigate failures and improve the quality of data delivered to users.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role for someone who can own production data pipelines from design through operation. You do not need to be a people manager or an AI specialist.

What you would do

- Build and maintain ingestion and transformation workflows.
- Write explicit Python and SQL for data processing and validation.
- Improve data quality with tests, checks and sensible handling of bad records.
- Investigate failed runs, retries, backfills and downstream dependencies.
- Work with cloud data services and communicate progress and trade-offs to teammates and stakeholders.

What you would bring

- Evidence of independently building or supporting production ETL/ELT pipelines.




- Practical coding and SQL skills, with examples of the work you personally owned.
- Understanding of data quality, monitoring and recovery, not just happy-path development.
- Cloud data experience; AWS is especially relevant.

Spark/PySpark, Airflow, dbt, Glue, Redshift or similar tools would be useful, not an all-tools checklist. We care more about production ownership than a particular title. Location: Fully remote, anywhere in Canada.

Compensation: CAD $120,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus bonus potential [confirm bonus structure and eligibility before publication].
