About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Field Service Engineer to join their team, focusing on power generation equipment. This is a fully remote position, requiring extensive travel to customer sites. You will be the technical expert responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex power generation systems, including turbines, generators, and control systems.

This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the operational integrity of our client's critical energy infrastructure, providing in office expertise and rapid resolution of technical challenges globally from a remote base.

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.

Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to ensure minimal downtime for clients.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, assisting them with operational procedures and equipment optimization.

Conduct performance testing and analysis, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Prepare detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, findings, and recommendations.





Manage spare parts inventory and logistics for service activities, ensuring timely availability of necessary components.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in field service engineering, specifically with power generation equipment.

Strong understanding of turbine technology (gas and/or steam), generators, and associated control systems.

Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) to client sites worldwide, while managing work remotely when not traveling.
