Position Summary:

The responsibility of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support the sales, marketing and senior management team in managing the financial and volume performance in Canada. This includes analyzing sales and marketing related information with the goal of increasing profitability. This will be done through tracking key performance indicators, analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, managing price and monitoring spend budgets.

Role & Responsibility:

Pricing

- Support the development of price strategies with marketing
- Lead regular price reviews with sales and marketing, including price change suggestions and quantifying financial impact of changes
- Maintain customer pricing in the financial system
- Provide regular price and margin report to management

Business Analysis
- Perform analysis of impact on company performance of major changes to pricing, discounts, and promotion spend
- Evaluates sales performance against volume and promotional spend targets and work with sales to identify risks and opportunities
- Monitors Marketing spend and works with team to address risks and opportunities
- Coordinate preparation of monthly business review for Canada and US management teams
- Develop KPI Dashboard to summarize performance against operational effectiveness benchmarks for executive leadership team




- Prepare financial analysis to support New Product Development process
- Conducts financial analysis for ad hoc requests

Planning & Reporting
- Responsible for accuracy of financial records for sales and marketing spend
- Assists management in development and evaluation of sales forecast, mid-year forecasts and annual budgets
- With Director of Finance, prepares presentations on budgets and forecasts, including analysis of changes

Knowledge & Experience:

- University degree in Business Administration, or any related field
- 3+ years of experience in an Analyst role or equivalent
- Experience with CPG required. Experience within alcohol beverage is a plus
- Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills required
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with MS Access and understanding of relational database structure a plus
- Ability to perform complicated analysis like forecasting and trending
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast workplace
- Excellent internal customer service skills
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills
