Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity, with a focus on projects in the Kimberley and Northern Cape region. This senior role demands extensive expertise in soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and ground improvement techniques. You will lead challenging geotechnical investigations and provide critical design input for major civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning and execution of complex geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and data analysis.
- Perform advanced geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, tunnels, and earthworks.
- Develop detailed geotechnical design reports and recommendations for a wide range of infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior geotechnical engineers and site teams.
- Review and approve geotechnical designs and construction methodologies remotely.
- Collaborate with clients,



project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering practice.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
- Expertise in numerical modeling software for geotechnical analysis (e.g., Plaxis 3D, FLAC).
- Proven track record in managing geotechnical aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote engagement.
