We are looking for individuals experienced at the Senior and/or Intermediate level with Unix and/or Linux systems to help form the next generation of secure software. This is a new project with lots of new code to be envisioned, designed and developed.

If you already have a solid understanding of operating systems, file systems (e.g. VFS), ciphers, hashes, encryption, keys, firewalls, RFCs, SUS/POSIX, X Windows, sockets, bridges, passwords and passphrases then we want you to contact us! You have many of these things? Are you a faster learner? Good researcher? Write great Unix/Linux code? Have written command line utilities? Know complex debugging? Then contact us!

A strong interest in computer security with the ability to pick-up new concepts in-depth is a solid asset (in addition to the previous paragraph). You've already shown and proven yourself with previous job positions. Leverage that experience to contribute significantly to the next generation of computer security while learning new tricks!

Key Requirements

- Post-Secondary education in Computer Science or a related field with a strong Computer Science emphasis
- Unix/Linux experience of 6+ years
- Solid C programming (other languages are an asset)
- Solid OS comprehension including file systems (e.g. VFS)




- packaging experience (RPM, DEB, others)
- shell scripting, makefiles, Expect, build environements
- gdb debugging in a multi-threaded environment
- testing experience
- ability to write technical documents for internal and external audiences

Job Responsibilities: Reporting to Team Lead for the Unix/Linux Development Team. Writing new source code and analyzing existing code in the C language for utilities, libraries and kernel loadable objects with a variety of Unix-like systems including CentOS, Ubuntu, OL, Kylin and many other Linux distros. Good to excellent understanding of makefiles. DEB and RPM package configuration with install/uninstall testing though this may be learned on-the-job. Ability to work with a ticket tracking system and source code management tools.
