Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead process engineering activities for oil-and-gas projects. The role involves process design, engineering calculations, equipment sizing, preparation and review of technical documents and drawings, and coordination with clients, equipment suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the technical quality and timely delivery of process engineering work.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and review process design bases, heat and material balances, process descriptions, utility requirements, and operating and control philosophies.
- Develop, review, and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Perform and review process simulations, engineering calculations, and process sizing of separators, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors.
- Carry out line sizing, hydraulic and pressure-drop calculations, and process sizing of control valves and pressure-relief devices.
- Prepare and review equipment and instrument process datasheets, technical specifications, and calculation reports.
- Review vendor documents and technical proposals, resolve technical queries, and coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.
- Participate in HAZOP and other process-safety reviews, implement agreed recommendations, and provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
- Guide junior engineers, check engineering deliverables,



and manage assigned process engineering activities to meet project requirements and schedules.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Substantial process engineering experience in oil-and-gas production, gas processing, or refining, including independent delivery and technical review of engineering work.
- Working proficiency in Aspen HYSYS for process simulation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software for drafting and updating process engineering drawings, including PFDs and P&IDs.;
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, phase separation, and material and energy balances.
- Proven ability to prepare and review engineering calculations, equipment datasheets, drawings, and technical reports.
- Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
- Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience with gas sweetening and amine systems, gas dehydration, separation systems, sulphur recovery, utilities, or relief and flare systems would be an advantage. Experience in front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed engineering, and commissioning support is also desirable.
