About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Senior Process Development Scientist to join their pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Kimberley . This role is critical for developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes for new and existing pharmaceutical products. You will apply scientific principles and engineering expertise to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant production methods. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical intermediates and final drug products.
- Conduct laboratory-scale experiments and pilot plant studies to evaluate process parameters and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Author process development reports, validation protocols, and technology transfer documentation.
- Ensure all process development activities comply with cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.




- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure smooth process implementation and transfer.

Requirements

- Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes, reaction kinetics, and purification techniques.
- Experience with process scale-up and technology transfer is essential.
- Proficiency in relevant analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
