Looking for experienced servers and bartenders to join our team!

Historia Cantina is a Latin American inspired tapas restaurant and tequila bar, located in the historic Old Mill on Schomberg's Main Street. Opened in May 2023, we are looking to add to our front of house team to keep up with our busy restaurant.

THE ROLE: The Server/Bartender is responsible for curating the guest experience from start to finish in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate has a great deal of experience in the industry and is looking for a company to grown within.

RESPONSIBILITES

- Maintain an understanding of the proper steps of service. Consistently execute them efficiently and gracefully while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
- Anticipate guest needs and create strong guest relationships. Guest recognition is critical.
- Ensure constant communication with staff members, management and the kitchen during service
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner




- Have a strong knowledge of menu items and be able to make recommendations and address dietary concerns
- Stock and Re-stock the Bar and/or Servery as needed pre and post service
- Set up and maintain dining room and section
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Knowledge on how to make cocktails, different wine styles, and how to open a bottle of corked wine

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of experience as a server/bartender
- Ability to stand and walk around for long periods of time
- Strong customer service skills and time management skills
- Must be able to communicate proficiently with customers and team members
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including EVENINGS and WEEKENDS (including SUNDAYS)
