Domax Construction Equipment & Repairs Ltd. is a full-service small engine repair shop and construction equipment dealer serving the GTA for over 40 years.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on technician to diagnose and repair small engines, construction equipment and power tools. The ideal candidate has mechanical repair experience, understands 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and is comfortable troubleshooting and working independently.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair and service small engines and construction equipment
- Working on gas, diesel and electric-powered equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, ignition and fuel-system issues
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble and test equipment
- Complete work orders and accurately record repairs and parts used
- Complete repairs efficiently with a focus on quality and quick turnaround
- Keep work areas, tools and equipment organized
- Follow shop procedures and safety requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers when required
- Assist with general shop organization and equipment maintenance

What We're Looking For





- Hands-on mechanical repair experience
- Experience working with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
- Good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable with hand and power tools
- Able to work independently and problem-solve
- Reliable, punctual and consistent
- Valuable communication and customer-service skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Assets

- Small-engine, equipment or automotive repair experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Forklift or crane certification
- Experience with Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Bartell or similar equipment
