Winter Retainer & End-of-Season Bonus

We offer qualified winter employees a monthly retainer of $400–$1,000, depending on position, experience, availability, and responsibilities.

Employees who successfully complete the full winter season with our team may also be eligible for an end-of-season bonus of up to $2,000.

We are looking for dependable operators who are committed to being available throughout the winter season and ready to respond when weather conditions require service.

Job Summary

We are seeking energetic, reliable, and experienced Snow Removal Operators to join our winter operations team.

Operators will be responsible for safely operating equipment including loaders, skid steers, plow trucks, tractors, and other snow-removal equipment to keep commercial properties secure and accessible throughout the winter.

This position requires individuals who are dependable during winter weather events, comfortable working outdoors in challenging conditions, and capable of operating equipment safely and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Operate loaders, skid steers, plow trucks, tractors, and other snow-removal equipment.
- Clear snow from parking lots, roadways, entrances, sidewalks, and other designated areas.
- Apply salt and other de-icing materials as required.
- Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections before each shift.
- Identify and report equipment damage or mechanical concerns.
- Perform basic routine maintenance and assist with keeping equipment ready for deployment.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other operators to ensure priority areas are completed efficiently.
- Follow assigned routes, site plans, and snow-management procedures.




- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating requirements.
- Maintain communication with supervisors throughout snow and ice events.
- Be available for winter storms, including overnight, early-morning, weekend, and holiday operations when required.

Experience & Qualifications Previous experience operating loaders, skid steers, tractors, plow trucks, or similar heavy equipment is strongly preferred.

Applicants should have

- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of snow plowing, salting, and de-icing procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify equipment problems.
- Experience working in construction, landscaping, snow removal, or other outdoor industries.
- Understanding of heavy-equipment safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong reliability and availability during winter weather events.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required for positions involving company vehicles.
- Commercial licence or additional equipment certifications are considered an asset.

Compensation & Employee Incentives In addition to regular compensation, eligible employees may receive:
- Monthly Winter Retainer: $400–$1,000
- End-of-Season Bonus: Up to $2,000

The end-of-season bonus is intended to reward employees who remain dependable, available, and in good standing throughout the full winter season. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
