Our client is a fast-growing platform providing a fast path to production for AI agents and full-stack applications. They offer an all-in-one platform covering backends, frontends, Postgres, cron jobs, and private networking built with integrated security.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an engineer to own and evolve its core compute infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, regions, and data centers. In this role, you will design and build capabilities for performance and flexibility, investigate complex cloud issues, and improve platform reliability as it rapidly scales. You will partner with engineers across the company to build a stable, predictable, and secure platform trusted by millions of developers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate large-scale platform and compute infrastructure across multiple cloud providers or bare metal.
- Manage, scale, network, and troubleshoot large-scale Kubernetes clusters in production.
- Develop custom infrastructure components, scheduling systems, or controllers using Go.
- Plan and execute rapid,



high-risk infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime at scale.
- Optimize node, pod, and container spin-up times to maximize platform performance.
- Write production code on a daily basis to support custom infrastructure automation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain system stability and platform reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and security engineering teams to mentor peers and drive system improvements.

Qualifications

- 7 to 20 years of experience in cloud/compute infrastructure engineering with a focus on Kubernetes and Go or Rust.
- Proven track record of building and operating large-scale Kubernetes clusters in production.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes cluster operations, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting at scale.
- Strong proficiency in Go for developing custom infrastructure components, scheduling, or controllers.
- Hands-on experience planning and executing high-risk upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Willingness to write code on a daily basis and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Experience with Linux internals, eBPF, or virtualization technologies (such as Firecracker, gVisor, or Kata) is a robust plus.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree preferred.
