Moto Canada is a national, not-for-profit industry association representing manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, side-by-sides (ROVs), and related powersports industries across Canada. As the voice of the industry, Moto Canada plays a critical role in advancing public policy that supports responsible use, innovation, safety, sustainability, and long-term industry growth within an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Operating at the intersection of industry, government, and riders, Moto Canada collaborates closely with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and stakeholders across Canada to shape legislation and influence policy outcomes that impact its members nationwide.

We are seeking a Stakeholder Engagement and Research Specialist to support Moto Canada’s stakeholder relations, advocacy, and strategic priorities through a combination of research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and funding program administration. This role is ideal for an analytical and relationship-focused professional who enjoys transforming complex information into actionable insights while building meaningful partnerships across the industry.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with with industry associations, dealers, clubs, members, partners, and other key stakeholders across Canada
- Support Moto Canada’s advocacy and stakeholder relations efforts by researching and monitoring industry, economic, regulatory, and government trends.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to identify emerging issues, opportunities, and potential impacts on the powersports industry[EC1] .
- Develop research-based insights, recommendations, and strategic materials to support organizational priorities and decision-making.




- Prepare briefing notes, reports, presentations, research summaries, and background materials for executive leadership, government meetings, advocacy initiatives, and board discussions.
- Coordinate stakeholder consultations, surveys, and feedback initiatives, and analyze results to support strategic planning and policy development.
- Assess grant and funding applications, monitor funded projects, and evaluate outcomes and impact reporting.
- Research and track opportunities that align with Moto Canada’s strategic objectives and member interests.
- Maintain stakeholder databases and CRM systems, ensuring engagement activities, communications, and commitments are accurately tracked.
- Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement initiatives, industry events, and government-facing activities.
- Represent Moto Canada at meetings, consultations, conferences, industry events, and other stakeholder engagements as required.
- Some travel within Canada is required, with occasional travel outside Canada as organizational needs arise.

Skills & Qualifications

- Four (4) to five (5) years of experience in research, stakeholder relations, policy, , government relations, or a related field.
- Robust ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative information.
- Experience preparing briefing notes, reports, presentations,



and executive-level communications.
- Experience researching government funding programs, grants, and public-sector initiatives.
- Confidence engaging with government officials, external stakeholders, industry partners, and senior leaders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the development of charts, dashboards, and reports.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Post-secondary education in public policy, economics, business, communications, political science, or a related discipline.
- Fluently bilingual in English and French both written and spoken.
