We are an Indian Supermarket in Parkdale, Toronto looking a store assistant.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries to foster a positive shopping environment
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products on shelves and displays to maximize visual appeal
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to encourage customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale)



system accurately for transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Manage stock levels, perform inventory checks, and restock shelves efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service through active communication, phone etiquette, and attentive listening
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards to ensure a welcoming space for all shoppers
- Manage and prepare Uber Eats, Instacard and other online delivery orders

Skills

- Previous experience in retail sales is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
- Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory management
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
