Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. Duties

- Design wood-frame modular structural systems, load paths, diaphragms, shear walls, connections, and related steel, concrete, and engineered-wood elements
- Engineer permanent and temporary conditions associated with fabrication, lifting, transportation, setting, bracing, and installation
- Prepare and review calculations, drawings, details, specifications, letters, reports, and permit/construction documents
- Sign, date, and seal final engineering documents within your competence and professional responsibility
- Coordinate structural requirements with architectural, MEP, BIM, production, site, and specialty-design information
- Review supplier and delegated-design submittals for conformance with project criteria and structural intent
- Respond to RFIs, production questions, non-conformances, substitutions, and proposed field changes
- Support factory and site reviews and document technical decisions through controlled engineering records
- Help develop structural standards, details, checklists, and quality-control practices for modular construction

What We're Looking For





- Current Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario
- 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience in building design, with demonstrated ability to independently complete assigned engineering work
- Strong wood-frame structural design experience, including gravity and lateral systems and connections
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and applicable Canadian structural standards
- Experience preparing or taking responsibility for permit and construction engineering documents
- Practical, constructability-focused judgment and strong technical communication
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and support a fast-moving manufacturing environment
- Volumetric modular, prefabricated, panelized, or manufacturing-driven construction experience
- Multi-unit residential, mid-rise wood, institutional, or Part 3 project experience
- Experience with lifting, transportation, temporary bracing, erection, and module connections
- AutoCAD, Revit/BIM coordination, Bluebeam, WoodWorks, S-FRAME, RFEM/RSTAB, SAP2000, ETABS, or comparable tools
- Familiarity with CSA A277 and CSA Z250
- This position requires regular travel between company sites located in Ontario and Quebec. Candidates must have a valid driver's licence, access to reliable transportation, and be willing to travel as needed to support operational requirements.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
