Student Optician – Part-Time

We are looking for a friendly, caring, and motivated Student Optician to join our busy optometry clinic. This is a great opportunity for an opticianry student who wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional and supportive clinical environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with our optometrists, opticians, and clinic staff while developing practical skills in optical dispensing and patient care.

Responsibilities include

Helping patients select frames based on fit, comfort, prescription, and lifestyle

Assisting with lens recommendations and explaining different lens options

Taking accurate optical measurements, including PDs and fitting heights

Adjusting and repairing eyeglasses

Assisting with frame and lens orders

Providing friendly and qualified customer service

Helping with reception, appointment booking,



and patient flow when required

Maintaining a clean and organized optical area

Learning about different lens designs, coatings, frame materials, and optical products

We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled in an Opticianry program, is dependable, professional, eager to learn, and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Previous optical or customer-service experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
