We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist who is passionate about technology and service, and who understands the critical role IT plays in a healthcare environment. This role is instrumental in ensuring our clinical and administrative teams can operate seamlessly, securely, and without disruption.

About the Role

As a Technical Support Specialist at RebalanceMD, you will be the first point of contact for technical support across the organization. You will provide timely, professional assistance to a diverse group of users including doctors, clinicians, administrative staff, and leadership.

This role requires a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, hands-on support of end-user hardware, and the ability to work within a fast-paced clinical environment where responsiveness and reliability are essential. Experience with Apple devices is also valuable, as our environment includes a mix of platforms.

Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to supporting healthcare teams in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Tier 1/2 support to clinical and administrative staff via in-person, phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues with a strong sense of urgency and professionalism
- Support Microsoft technologies including Windows 10/11,



Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), and Active Directory/Entra ID
- Set up, configure, and maintain end-user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Support both Windows-based systems and Apple devices within a clinical and office environment
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, equipment setup, and access management
- Ensure all systems and devices comply with organizational security standards and healthcare privacy requirements (e.g., PHIPA/PIPEDA awareness)
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT procedures within the help desk system
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching to ensure system stability and security
- Support clinical workflows by minimizing downtime and ensuring critical systems remain operational
- Educate staff on best practices for technology use, security awareness, and basic troubleshooting

Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT help desk or end-user support role

- Strong experience supporting Microsoft environments, including Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Entra ID user and device management
- Experience supporting end-user hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
- Familiarity with Apple macOS and basic troubleshooting of MacBooks
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including Wi-Fi, VPN, and TCP/IP




- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and respectfully support non-technical users in a clinical setting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and respond effectively in time-sensitive situations
- A customer-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

Nice to Have

- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or similar
- Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, JAMF, SCCM)
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems or healthcare applications
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices in healthcare
