DAL Projects has a long history of providing engineering consulting and project management services across multiple disciplines, including natural resource development, technical advisory services, and critical infrastructure.

Specific to this role, the focus will be on the telecommunications industry with future opportunities to grow and support DAL Projects in other areas. DAL Projects prides itself on growing within.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and design of telecommunication systems.
- Assist in the preparation of engineered drawings for various projects.
- Prepare drawings based on initial concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, standards, and agreements.
- Develop permit and construction drawings for underground and aerial work, adhering to standards set by permit-granting authorities and applicable codes and standards
- Leverage your expertise to enhance CAD processes and drafting efficiency.
- Perform site visits to inspect, audit and document existing infrastructure and new installations.
- Meet with clients for site walkthroughs and to address potential issues.
- Support the development of design schedules and overall project timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry. Telecom experience would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of telecom industry standards and specifications.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in basic word processing and record-keeping.
- Adaptable computer skills with the ability to research information online from various sources.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project-related documents.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software. Shortlisted candidates will complete a skills test after the first interview.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred but not required)
- Civil / Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma (preferred but not required)

Conditions of Employment





- Criminal Background Check required for secure sites.
- Valid Class 5 license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to sites occasionally (up to 10%).

This position is based in Oak Bluff, Manitoba, approximately 10 km outside Winnipeg city limits. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
