: The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the Vehicle Maintenance department and ensuring the safe,



reliable and efficient operation of the resort's fleet of vehicles and mobile equipment. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising mechanics while participating in diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance and fleet planning. The fleet includes heavy and light-duty vehicles, snowcats, loaders, excavators, snowmobiles, generators and other specialized resort equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise, schedule and support journeyperson and apprentice mechanics
- Assign and prioritize daily maintenance and repair activities based on operational requirements
- Provide technical direction, coaching and training to maintenance staff
- Oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and seasonal fleet preparation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel-related problems
- Complete hands-on repairs and maintenance as required
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational emergencies
- Monitor equipment condition and identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability
- Coordinate major repairs, rebuilds and outside contractors
- Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records and maintenance histories
- Use the CMMS to plan,



assign and track maintenance activities
- Work with the Maintenance Manager on fleet planning, projects and equipment replacement
- Promote a high standard of safety, workmanship and housekeeping
- Work closely with Lift Maintenance, Grooming, Operations, Transportation, Facilities and other resort departments

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

- Valid Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years supervisory or mechanical leadership experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
- Experience maintaining heavy equipment and vehicles
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- A police background check, from the candidate's home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.

The following are considered assets:

- Previous snowcat or snow-grooming equipment experience
- Experience with loaders, excavators or other off-road equipment
- Experience supervising apprentices and journeyperson mechanics
- Experience with snowmobiles, generators or small-engine equipment
- Ability to ski or snowboard to access equipment or work locations when required

Work Schedule:

7:00am - 5:30pm

4 On/3 Off

Wage: $48.80 per hour
