Veterinary office assistant/ Receptionist

Ridgeview Animal Hospital, located in the Fraser Heights area of Surrey, BC, is a proud AAHA-accredited veterinary practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for small animals. Our hospital is fully equipped with digital X-ray, dedicated dental and surgical suites, modern examination rooms, an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and other essential resources, allowing us to provide comprehensive veterinary care under one roof.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with a genuine passion for animals and providing excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Client communication
- Patient intake and initial assessments
- Taking radiographs (X-rays)
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during surgical/dental procedures
- Conducting in-house lab testing (blood, urine, cytology)
- Educating clients on medication use, home care, and preventive care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Performing minor procedures such as nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, suture removal,



and bandage changes
- Managing clinic inventory including medications and supplies
- Supporting veterinary office assistants with daily operations

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Previous experience in veterinary field is an asset

· Graduation from an accredited VOA program is preferred
