Skills Development and Employment ensures that people with disabilities find and keep meaningful jobs by matching them with employers seeking qualified job candidates. In addition, they offer support with assessments, rehabilitation and child and youth programs.

This Opportunity:

We are looking for a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Victoria, BC. This role provides individualized vocational rehabilitation and employment services to clients, helping them achieve their employment goals through personalized rehabilitation planning, job search support, job placement services, and ongoing employment assistance.

Responsibilities:

- Accept referrals and review client plans and documentation provided by the referral source.
- Deliver individualized services, including:
- Resume and cover letter preparation

- Job search skills training

- Individualized job placement services

- Customized rehabilitation planning

- Develop customized rehabilitation plans and employment strategies that align with client goals and referral requirements.
- Prepare resumes, cover letters, and other employment-related materials.
- Provide coaching on job search techniques, networking, and interview preparation.




- Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify suitable employment opportunities and support successful job placements.
- Monitor and document client progress, prepare reports, and communicate outcomes as required by the referral source.
- Provide follow-up support to clients and employers, including accommodation guidance and workplace problem-solving, to promote sustainable employment outcomes.
- Participate in employer engagement, marketing, and promotional activities related to vocational rehabilitation services.

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree in a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of directly related experience providing:
- Resume and cover letter preparation

- Job search skills training
- Individualized job placement services and/or

- Customized rehabilitation planning

- Professional designation in one of the following is an asset:

- Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP)

- Certified Vocational Professional (CVP)
- Master Certificate: Vocational Professional (MCVP)
- Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CRC/CCRC)

- Registered Vocational Professional (RVP)

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.

Additional Details:

Salary: $58,000 per annum Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Victoria, BC
