Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, including the operation of heavy equipment and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This role involves assisting with order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a protected and organized warehouse space.

Prior experience with mechanical tools, construction, or manufacturing is a plus, along with proficiency in order picking, packaging, and load/unload procedures.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to move materials efficiently within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming/outgoing shipments
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 for inventory tracking and order processing
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed during heavy equipment operation
- Support warehouse organization by stocking shelves, labeling products, and maintaining cleanliness
- Assist in construction-related tasks or mechanical repairs as needed within the warehouse environment
- Support inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counting activities to ensure accurate stock levels




- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve overall warehouse efficiency

Requirements

- Speak Mandarin and English
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments; experience with warehouse management systems like AS400 is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment or performing minor repairs
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and load & unload tasks; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Experience with manufacturing or assembly lines is beneficial
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Prior experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems such as AS400 is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and quality control
