About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Winter Crew Lead to spearhead our commercial snow and ice management operations. In this role, you will lead a dedicated crew through winter weather events, ensuring that commercial properties, parking lots, and pedestrian walkways are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards. You will coordinate field activities, operate advanced commercial snow equipment, and act as the primary on-site point of contact during snow events.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform sidewalk clearing and ice control according to site maps.

- Perform equipment pre-trip inspections, daily maintenance, and upkeep.

- Apply de-icing materials accurately based on company standards.

- Complete required site paperwork and digital routing logs accurately.

- Use hand tools and small equipment safely and effectively.

- Support overall winter property safety and snow-clearing operations.

- For Entry-Level Team Members: Significant manual snow shoveling and salting. Detailed clearing of walkways, steps, and entrances across commercial properties.

- For Experienced Operators: Opportunities to operate sidewalk tractors, zero-turn machines, and snow blowers

Requirements

- Availability for varied, on-call schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as winter weather demands.

- Ability to work in adverse, freezing weather conditions.

- Willingness to handle intensive physical snow-clearing work (shoveling).

- Ability to lift 60+ lbs and walk 2+ miles daily in winter conditions.

- Good organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1+ year of commercial snow removal or winter maintenance experience.

- Prior experience operating commercial sidewalk tractors or snow removal machinery (qualifies you for advanced equipment roles).

- Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean abstract.

Strong applicants will have the opportunity to start immediately and/or stay on full time for the spring/summer/fall seasons

Experience

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
