Position Overview
The Senior Forensic Accountant or Lead Forensic Accountant conducts complex forensic accounting work and provides forensic accounting advice to Commission staff. The Senior or Lead Forensic Accountant also testifies to their forensic accounting work and qualifies as an Expert Witness in forensic accounting. In addition, the Senior or Lead Forensic Accountant trains forensic accounting staff within the Commission and represents the Commission on forensic accounting working groups.Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:Conduct forensic accounting work on the most complex, contentious, and when applicable high profile and unique cases investigated by Commission staffLead interviews of complainants, wrongdoers, and other witnessesPrepare comprehensive forensic accounting schedules, present evidence,



and make recommendations for further action as required, including formal hearings, prosecutions, and settlementsTestify to their forensic accounting work before tribunalsParticipate in hiring, and training of forensic accountants within the CommissionProvide advice, information, and guidance regarding accounting issues to Commission staffRepresent the Commission on forensic accounting working groupsProvide forensic accountant training to Commission staff and other securities regulatorsQualifications
A minimum of seven years’ experience in securities enforcement work or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCertified in Financial Forensics designationCompletion of the Canadian Securities Course is an assetA minimum of ten years’ experience in securities enforcement work, including conducting detailed funds tracing in complex and contentious investigations, presenting evidence, and testifying in Commission hearings and criminal trialsExperience providing forensic accounting evidence as an Expert WitnessCertified in Financial Forensics designationCompletion of the Canadian Securities CourseWhat We Offer

Salary Range
The salary range for Senior Forensic Accountant (minimum of 7 years of relevant experience) is $109,345 (minimum) - $142,007 (midpoint) - $174,667 (maximum).The salary range for Lead Forensic Accountant (minimum of 10 years of relevant experience) is $126,336 (minimum) - $157,509 (midpoint) - $188,680 (maximum).The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate’s relevant experience and education, salaries of other employees in the same salary range, market conditions, and other relevant factors.
