We are #hiring a Cybersecurity Student for a 4-month work term commencing May 2027, based out of our Calgary head office. If you’re a motivated self-starter with an interest in security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity tools, we want to hear from you!You will support the cybersecurity team by monitoring security threats, investigating and responding to incidents, helping identify and address vulnerabilities, and supporting security improvements. You will also work with other teams to strengthen security controls, support compliance activities, and maintain accurate security documentation. This role is ideal for someone looking to build practical cybersecurity experience in a team-oriented, enterprise environment.What You Will Be Doing
Monitor security alerts, investigate potential threats, and identify security incidents across enterprise security platformsInvestigate, contain, and remediate cybersecurity incidents, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized accessReview and prioritize vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts with internal stakeholdersInvestigate and respond to phishing, suspicious emails, endpoint threats, and malicious network activitySupport security monitoring and investigations across endpoint, network, DNS, and web security environmentsImprove security operations through alert tuning, automation,



tool optimization, and development of SOC runbooksMaintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, procedures, and security metricsCollaborate with Cyber GRC, Network, Server Infrastructure, and other teams to implement security controls, support compliance activities, and improve overall security postureWhat We Would Like From You
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldFamiliarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows server operating systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentBasic understanding of cybersecurity principles, security monitoring, and incident response is an assetExposure to cybersecurity tools and platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Qualys, or similar technologies is an assetBasic knowledge of networking, cloud security, and identity and access management (IAM) is an assetLocation and other key details:
