Bartender

Location of Work: Remote worksite near various locations in BC (near Revelstoke, Golden, Radium, Valemount)

Job Status: Full-time, Seasonal

The Bartender prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests at the end of daily field operations. This position keeps track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, and facilitates the ordering and restocking process. The Bartender is responsible for hosting guests in the lounge and bar areas and facilitating the evening social scene.

This is a seasonal job chance. These positions are based on an11-hour day, worked as a split shift. Accommodation is available while on shift, at no extra cost, for staff joining our team.
Collaborate with the Lodge Chef for wine pairings.
Manage on-site beverage inventory and working supplies.
Responsible for ordering, receiving, and daily record keeping of all alcohol sales through the on-site POS system.
Perform radio duty, as required, to support field operations.




All employees will support the implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives and participate in training and provide assistance as required during emergency response situations.
Valid Serving It Right Certificate.
Strong foundational knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors.
Experience with ordering and inventory management.

Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms are important, as is the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities.

Additionally, the candidate must have the confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model.

This type of hospitality work is challenging and demanding. Successful staff are intrinsically motivated by a passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences with our guests.
This job is in a remote area of British Columbia. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area for work shifts.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
This position may require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.
During these times of change, this position requires the flexibility and willingness to accept new responsibilities and potentially transfer others.
A competitive hourly rate will be provided based on skillset and experience, along with 4% vacation pay and potential opportunities to heli-hike and heli-ski, as available. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
