About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Communications to lead the strategic and hands-on development of internal and external communication initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving employee engagement, supporting organizational change, and strengthening stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's priorities, fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and engagement. Key responsibilities include developing leadership communications, employee campaigns, and town hall messaging, as well as supporting the organization's reputation among external stakeholders.

The Head of Communications will also be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on communication related to business priorities, operational developments,



and industry changes.

Applicants for the Head of Communications position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years' of corporate communications experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading internal communications, employee engagement, and change communication initiatives, with a robust ability to influence and advise senior leaders.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage media relations and support crisis communication efforts. Experience in a unionized, industrial, transportation, logistics, marine, or infrastructure environment is a strong asset.
