We're a fast-growing group within Valsoft Corporation, working where payments meet AI. The group includes ValPay, TNRM, P&P; and Sadie. Sadie is the #1 voice AI reservation platform in the world, with customers in Australia, Europe, the United States and Canada. ValPay is a payment facilitator (payfac). In plain terms, it lets other businesses accept and process payments through ValPay's own merchant infrastructure. That means they can start taking payments quickly, without setting up their own costly merchant account that can take a long time to get approved. This role is a rare chance to help build a finance function where accounting and technology meet. Our finance setup dates from our startup days, and we're rebuilding it to match the pace and complexity of the business. As Senior Controller, you'll own revenue recognition and technical accounting across multiple entities. Just as important, you'll have real, hands‑on ownership of the automation and data work that more and more of our finance function runs on. This role is ideal for a CPA who's ready to grow beyond traditional accounting and specialize in accounting and technology together. You don't need deep AI or automation experience. What matters most is a strong accounting foundation and the drive to build that expertise.WHAT YOU'LL DO




Own revenue recognition and every judgmental or complex accounting entry across all entities, including usage-based and payfac revenue under IFRSReview and approve accounting entries across the groupSet technical accounting policy for the group, and make sure it's applied consistently across entities in different jurisdictionsOwn and keep improving the group's core processes and controls across multiple entities and currencies, and build scalable, well‑documented processes as we growLead the multi‑entity close and consolidationTake a hands‑on role in building the automation and data infrastructure that connects usage, billing and payment‑settlement data across the group. As the function matures, you'll have a real chance to build deep expertise in financial systems and data modeling.Build your skills with AI tools in day‑to‑day work such as journal entry review, reconciliation and reporting, with the goal of making them central to how you workManage and review the work of the Controller and transactional support staff, bringing organization, structure and focus to a team we're building from the ground upBe the main escalation point for technical accounting questions, taking over this role from the CFOWork directly with our international tax specialist and external auditors on statutory filings, transfer pricing and audit requirements across our four entitiesWHAT YOU'LL BRING




CPA designation (or equivalent international designation)5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of technical accountingSolid understanding of IFRSExperience closing and consolidating financials across multiple legal entities and/or jurisdictionsExperience reviewing and managing the work of other accounting staff, either as a people leader or through strong review and mentoringCuriosity about data, systems and automation, and a drive to get fluent in them.Hands‑on experience with AI tools or data modeling is a plus, not a requirement.Strong written and verbal communication skills. You'll work directly with the CFO, the auditors and, as the team grows, other finance staff.
