We'll stand behind you as you strive for success and promote the ideals of WBM.Who Are You?Reporting to the Lead Hand, Shop Foreman, and General Foreman, the Burn Table Operator is responsible for operating oxyfuel and/or plasma cutting tables in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner while complying with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.What Will You Do?Burn Table OperationsAlign steel plate accurately on the cutting tableSelect appropriate programs and adjust settings (kerf, speed, stand-off, etc.) to meet project requirementsMonitor burn quality and make adjustments to ensure accurate, defect-free cutsInspect finished parts and re-burn defective pieces when requiredEnsure correct quantities are produced according to burn sheet specificationsChange torch tips, electrodes,



and nozzles as requiredRecord Keeping & ReportingSign off burn sheets upon completion and maintain organized documentationRecord cutting table malfunctions in the logbook immediatelyUpdate and maintain consumable usage records accuratelyReport equipment malfunctions to the Foreman without delayMinimum 3 years' experience operating oxyfuel and/or plasma burn tablesMinimum 3 years' overhead crane experienceExperience working in a metal fabrication shopAbility to read and interpret blueprints and burn sheetsForklift experience is considered an assetAdvanced knowledge of general safety practicesIn-depth understanding of tools, equipment, and their proper careStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaborativelyExcellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsBonus Round!Our employees are the lifeblood of WBM.
