With their technical expertise, commitment to quality workmanship, and dedication to service excellence the Journeyman Plumber will play a key role in upholding our company's reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systemsInstall, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systemsLocate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floorsCut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittingsMeasure, cut, bend,



and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machinesInspect plumbing systems to identify issues and implement effective solutionsPerform preventative maintenance and service work as requiredPrepare cost estimates as requiredComplete service documentation and communicate findings and recommendations professionally to customersSupport 24-hour emergency service on a flexible rotating on-call scheduleMaintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working conditionPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Service experience in commercial and/or residential environments is an assetBackflow certification is considered an assetStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to support 24-hour emergency service on a rotating scheduleAbility to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reachingAbility to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and/or aerial platformsMust be comfortable working at heightsValid driver's license and willingness to provide a driver's abstractEducation & CertificationsCompletion of secondary school is requiredRed Seal Journeyperson Plumber Certification is requiredGas Fitter Class B License is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is considered an asset.WHMIS and applicable safety certificationsComplete health benefit packageCompetitive company RRSP package with option for employee matchingCompetitive wages, above industry standard
