The program supports children's social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and cognitive development while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.The RoleOn-call Junior Kindergarten Teachers provide substitute coverage when regular program staff are absent. Responsibilities may include:Providing a protected, welcoming, and engaging learning environmentFollowing established classroom routines, plans, and activitiesSupporting play-based and developmentally appropriate learning experiencesBuilding positive relationships with children, families, and colleaguesSupporting students with transitions, outdoor play, meals, and daily routinesMaintaining appropriate supervision and classroom expectationsSupporting the Christian mission, vision, and values of Delta Christian SchoolQualificationsSuccessful candidates must:Hold a current Early Childhood Educator (ECE)



licence in British ColumbiaHave experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, school, or similar settingDemonstrate warmth, patience, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skillsWork collaboratively as part of a teamBe committed to the Christian faith and actively participate in a Christian church communitySupport the mission, vision, and Christian educational philosophy of Delta Christian SchoolBe available for occasional work, sometimes on short noticeA satisfactory criminal record check will be required as a condition of employment.About Delta Christian SchoolDelta Christian School is a Christ-centred learning community serving students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7.
