Ski Lift mechanics install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot lift equipment as well as assist lift operations with the start-up and shut down of the lifts daily. They also read diagrams and manufacturers' manuals, fit bearings, rebuild sheave trains,



service grips and perform other mechanical procedures requiring specialized training. They work at great heights, in all weather conditions, at any time of the day or night.Responsibilities:To perform all duties assigned by Director of Ski Operations and Ski Operations ManagerEnsure all lifts are maintained to TSSA code and manufacturers recommendationsAssist in emergency situationsReport and rectify any unsafe situationsKeep a clean, organized and safe work environmentMechanical knowledge of all on site equipmentMaintain and repair all ski operations related equipmentDeliver and pick up parts and suppliesKeep appropriate inventory of shop supplies for servicing and maintaining all related equipmentSupport ski operations staff on Ski hill when requiredHave full knowledge of all ski operations and policiesRecord and update service records on all equipmentPlough snow when requiredBe responsible for moving and parking all equipment appropriatelyAssist in areas outside mechanical related duties on or off ski hillUse courtesy and respect when dealing with management, staff, co-workers, and guests at all timesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, timely and able to work well with othersWilling and able to work in all weather conditionsAbility to work at excessive heightsMust be able to lift up to 75 lbsAbility to operate snowmobiles in a safe and responsible mannerGood working knowledge of current WSIB regulationsRequired toolsElectrical experience an assetAbility to operate snow groomer an asset
