This role will consult and work with a variety of stakeholders and groups in OMERS including the IFO Data Governance Committee (DGC), investment teams, operations teams, and the Enterprise Data Governance team.In this role, you will be responsible for:Leading the enablement and oversight of the data governance framework for OMERS public and private investment data, with a focus on mitigating data risk through the advancement of organization behavior, policies and standards, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architectureWorking with senior leadership on the IFO Data Governance Committee (DGC) to define and formally assign the governance roles of data owners, stewards, and custodians; work with the business to ensure these roles and their responsibilities are understood and effectively executed; identify and document data assets in scope of the ProgramConducting data risk assessments,



and developing plans for maturing strategic data governance capabilities and priorities to effectively manage risksCataloging data assets, including metadata and data lineage; establishing consistentbaselines for data quality across public and private investment data domains, and implementing standards for data quality monitoringSupporting the data governance foundations for large-scale transformation initiatives, working in partnership with technology and business stakeholders to ensure that implicated data is effectively governedSupporting the creation and adoption of new data policies, standards and guidelinesRequired Skills & Experience:1.
